Writer's Block: Welcome to the mobile decade

The eighties were known as the Me decade. The nineties have been called the Electronic age. So far, what would you label this decade?

The Emo Whinebag Age.

Writer's Block: Kids or child-free?

Whether you've chosen to have children or live child-free, how and when did you (or will you) reach this decision? If you're in a relationship, did you (or will you) decide separately or together?

Not everyone is meant to have kids, and the ones who don't shouldn't be made to feel guilty;I have no idea how that gets started.I also don't understand the "leaving a legacy" rut that people get into. You should make your mark on the world with your OWN self. If you can't deal with your DNA not being left behind for generations, you've got some personal issues.Have kids because you enjoy kids.

I was put here to entertain them, not have them. When I'm done, the kids have had a good time, and I can send them back to you.The species still continues, and I won't get arrested because I believe in spanking.Everybody wins.

Writer's Block: Don't tease me bro!

Do you think good-natured teasing often goes too far? Have you ever gotten seriously offended by a joke that crossed the line? Have you been informed that your own teasing hurt someone else's feelings?

...and if you're the only one in the room who thinks it's funny, you've gone too far and into douchebag territory.

Yes,some folks totally don't know where to stop; or even more, when to not even start.

Writer's Block: Raining cats or dogs?

Do you have a decided preference between cats and dogs? Which do you prefer, and why? Would you consider a roommate or partner who had a contrary pet proclivity?

I have both and love both. And it's pathetic how many dogs and cats lose their homes every year because the boyfriend or girlfriend moved in with the owner.

Writer's Block: What is your life sentence?

How would you describe your life so far in a six-word sentence? How often would your 'life sentence' change?

"When in doubt, throw some penguins".

Writer's Block: High notes

If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life (classical, rock, jazz, etc.), what would you choose, and why?

Probably classic rock n' roll, because so much of my favorite music would be included. If I could never hear George Harrison again I think I'd wither into a little lump.

Writer's Block: A political affair

Do you think the public has a legitimate right to know about a politician’s personal/romantic life? When, if ever, do you think a politician’s personal history is relevant to his/her ability to perform in office?

Somewhat, because a politician's personal life can affect his/her performance and integrity in office. There's a reason an employee of a business may be told to "not bring your personal problems in to work", because it affects your judgment, performance and attitude. As a public figure, a politician's life is an open book whether he likes it or not, because the constituents need to know if there are things that are going to affect how he gets the job done, or not, as the case may be.

Writer's Block: Marital license

Do you think a marriage license should have a renewal or expiration date, just like a driver's license?

No. Marriage is a commitment, and should be entered into responsibly, not conveniently. It requires you to learn about your partner beforehand,& be mature enough to deal with problems,& you shouldn't be able to just walk out of it all hunky-dory just because things aren't going exactly the way you like.

Writer's Block: Ohhh, baby

If your best friend asked you OR your partner to help you conceive a child, would you consider it? How do you think it would affect your friendship and your relationship?

I'd say, "you can adopt".
